Medusa — Stone Works

Greek origin. First recorded 700 BCE.

Commissioned by the Materials Division as part of the Archive’s early preservation initiative. The Medusa sigil represents transformation through permanence — the act of stopping decay by arresting motion. Her myth was reinterpreted not as punishment, but as preservation: to endure by stillness.

Her emblem, depicting a stylized gorgon and fractured stone, appeared on the first Archive restoration tools and containment barriers.

Still issued to preservation engineers and structural archivists maintaining relic integrity.
