Kraken — Containment Recovery

Scandinavian origin. First recorded 1250 BCE.

Developed by the early Maritime Division to designate ships authorized to enter the North Sea recovery corridors. The Kraken’s image served a dual purpose — warning to outsiders, and respect to the creature whose movements shaped the tides.

Crews believed cooperation meant survival: when the deep stirred, they followed, retrieving what the Archive lost to the sea.

The sigil remains a Containment Division relic — worn by modern salvage teams and deep-sea researchers assigned to coastal recovery.
